Eureka!’s new travelling exhibition encouraging children to lead a healthier life:

“I think Mission: Active Future is one of the most interesting and exciting projects that I have seen in the last ten years because it is targeted directly at the group we want to get to.

It works with 6-11 year olds, the age group that we want to engage before inactivity sets in and it becomes hard to ignite their interest.  Innovative projects like Mission: Active Future will have a positive impact on children who find clubs and more formal sporting structures off-putting.  The young people I met when visiting the project were more engaged in what they were doing than most youngsters I see on a day to day basis.

My congratulations to Eureka! and Sport England on this project and I am delighted that it will be travelling out into the region and visiting schools and communities.
